Children’s quilts are great ways to practise and learn. I enjoyed making all these quilts, they are all my own designs – with inspiration from others.

Three baby quilts, all about 1m x 1m (40″ x 40″), made from left-overs of a queen top (UFO !#%$)

A modern quilt, inspired by A Quilt for Harry on Crafty Blossom blog. An early effort of concentric circle quilting. I was pleased with the effect though I found it very time consuming. Spirals are a lot easier.

A modern toddler quilt inspired by a quilt by Debbie Schulze at Juniper Quilts and Thinking Outside the Block by Sandi Cummings

After making a baby quilt in pink and white for my great niece, I was inspired to create an original design with the left over pieces, and many more scraps. I love the hand of Liberty Tana Lawn, though I am disappointed in how the seams show through. It is the fineness of the lawn that feels so lovely, and it is this characteristic that reveals the seams. Oh well.
Ruby batiks? Designs are great

Hello Pat. No, not batiks. Some deeply coloured florals, the designer is Philip Jacobs I think.

Nice how the seam lines are showing on the bottom quilt. Your quilts are always so neat and attractive.
